  • These are the BEST EVER Cheddar Biscuits! (Use any kind of cheese you like!) They are sure to impress your family & friends! 😍 You like Cheddar Bo biscuits from Bojangles? You will LOVE THESE! I'm not even kidding. These are made differently than the fluffy biscuit video you might have already seen. You will have to handle the dough a little bit more, but don't let that worry you. These biscuits are meant to hug right around that melty cheese on the inside.
    INGREDIENTS
2 cups self-rising flour (I love Daily Bread self-rising flour)
    5 Tbsp. cold butter
    2/3 to 3/4 cup milk
Enough cheese to go in all the biscuits
    INSTRUCTIONS
    1. Preheat oven to 475º and make sure it is up to that temperature for at least 20 minutes before you are ready to bake.
    2. Mix together all ingredients, beginning with flour and butter, then add in the milk.
    3. Work dough until it is all together in a nice ball. You aren't kneading it like you would yeast bread, but you do need to press the dough together so it's all sticking and holding together well.
    4. Pinch off a ball of dough, flatten it on your hand, and press some cheese in the center. Pull the edges of the dough up around the cheese and pinch together before putting the seams face down on your baking pan.
    5. Once you have all biscuits on pan ready to go, bake them for about 10 minutes or until tops begin to brown.
    6. As soon as you take biscuits out of the oven, brush tops with butter.
    7. Wait about 5 minutes or so before serving.
    Enjoy!

Your fluffy biscuit recipe is now my go to recipe. Thank you for that. I have been grading my frozen butter for a very long time. But, I use a rotary grater. I can grate a stick of butter in about 10 seconds and I do not have to handle it at all. You might give that a try.

Oh I’m so glad you’re enjoying this recipe! I’ve never heard of a rotary grater so I’m going to have to look that up! You’ve piqued my interest!

Ha ha I think I’ve done a number of international recipes! I even have a Mexican food playlist although it only has a few items on it. I’ve done Japanese chicken nuggets, spaghetti and homemade meatballs, tamales, arroz con pollo (ACP), chips and salsa, and there definitely will be more things coming. Since I’m southern though, southern recipes are probably one of my favorite things to make videos about. 😄

I tried making this recipe for biscuits but it didn’t come out so good I tryd 2 times 😢 I wind up throwing them away because they didn’t taste too good and they were hard as rocks could it be that I don’t have an oven I was using air fry

Oh gracious, that’s probably it. 🙁 I don’t know how to make biscuits in an air fryer. Air fryers get really hot and cook things super fast. I’m guessing it probably cooks the outsides too fast before the insides are cooked all the way. If you had a toaster oven that could work. I know my aunt makes biscuits sometimes in the toaster oven.

    Those are NOT cheese biscuits.
If you search North Carolina cheese biscuits you will see videos of how to make them properly.

I'm from eastern North Carolina and this is how we make cheese biscuits in my family. I'm sure there are many ways of making biscuits just like there are many ways of making collards or sweet tea.
